Sex positions that can replace a workout. Female version.

Laura Berman, (Laura Berman), Ph.D., a researcher at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, believes that sex is also a form of exercise, especially when partners enjoy experimenting. Furthermore, the more sex you have in your life, the more of the right hormones, such as endorphins, your body produces. And endorphins, as we know, are responsible for a good mood and reduce appetite. So you're not just giving your muscles a workout, but you're also stopping yourself from overeating, which means losing extra pounds becomes easier!

1. Missionary Position

This position engages the core and glute muscles. Try to lift your pelvis along with your torso, rather than arching your lower back, and squeeze your glutes.

2. Cowgirl

Movements in this position also load the glutes and core. Work your pelvic and lower abdominal muscles as if you're riding a horse. A more difficult variant: extend your legs forward (the position will resemble squats). In this case, even more muscles are engaged (support on hands and load on legs).

3. Bridge

In this advanced position, the triceps, biceps, abs, glutes, quadriceps, and calves are worked. So be careful: the bridge is not for the weak!

4. Arc

The arc is a modified version of the bridge. It differs in that the woman's shoulders are lowered and resting on the surface. As a result, the core, glute, and thigh muscles (the lower part closer to the knee) are engaged.

5. Chair

You are sitting on your partner's knees, positioned on a couch, in a chair, or on the floor facing him. Your legs are thrown over his shoulders. Your partner's legs wrap around you. During movements in this position, the abdominal and core muscles are engaged. If you want to increase the load, do not allow your partner to help you. If his hands are free, he can find a much more interesting and enjoyable activity for you.

6. Embrace

This position is often shown in bed scenes in movies. He holds you in his arms, your legs wrap around his waist. It is believed that in this case the main work will have to be done by the partner, however, you can also get a workout. First, the arms must stabilize your body weight and keep you at his chest level (the grip option you will determine for yourself). Secondly, you'll have to work your inner thigh muscles well (hello adductors!): they will firmly grip your partner's body so you don't slide down.

7. Doggy Style

This position can be considered a modified plank. The hamstrings, quadriceps, and glute muscles are engaged to help the body maintain a stable position.

With a little creativity, you can work just about any muscles in any position. The main thing is to do everything wisely so that bed acrobatics don't end in injuries.

And don't forget that sex, no matter how passionate, long, and diverse it may be, cannot fully replace other physical activities. Therefore, you shouldn't skip workouts just because you've had a warm-up in bed today.
